/rwrkd coastal talisman necklace/

[tide keeper] is built around layers of transformation, carrying traces of the ocean.

The reclaimed deadstock necklace base is interrupted by real shells collected along Cape Town’s coastline, threaded alongside freshwater pearls and polished metal beads that alternate in rhythm.

Each element holds its own texture and weight, creating a tension between softness and structure.

At the centre, a long, bullet-shaped pendant forms the spine of the piece, adorned by a small floral detail.

The pendant is suspended from a large, round zirconia crystal, which acts as a luminous connector between pendant and chain.

A small Mother Mary charm positioned above the crystal acts as a protective presence to guide the tides.

The necklace moves through a sequence of contrasting chains: sections of heavier link chain transition into finer curb and cable chains.

This piece is made using a base metal alloy also called “German Silver” (copper–nickel-zinc), known for its durability and natural resistance to tarnishing.

*Over time, it may develop a soft patina that adds to the character of the piece.

Care Instructions

This piece combines metal alloys, shells, and pearls, all of which benefit from gentle handling.

To preserve your piece:

  • Avoid contact with perfume, lotions, body oils and harsh chemicals
  • Remove before swimming, showering, or sleeping
  • Store separately in a soft pouch or cloth to prevent scratching
  • Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing

  • Returns

    Each AKULA piece is made as a one-of-one, using natural or sustainably sourced materials and hand assembly. For this reason, returns are not accepted for change of mind.

    If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or breaks due to a workmanship issue, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs so we can assess the issue promptly.

    In these cases, we will cover the cost of return shipping. Once received, the piece will be repaired where possible and restored to its intended condition. The item will then be shipped back to you free of charge within one week.
